What you'll do:
- Welcome and greet customers with a warm and professional demeanour, creating a secure and inviting atmosphere.
- Ensure the safety and security of the store and employees.
- Patrol the retail areas to prevent possible theft or safety hazards.
- Monitor the flow of customers in and out of the store and ensure their safety.
- Open and close the shop. Securing all exits, doors and windows before leaving.
- Contribute to security planning.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of First Aid Kits.
- Co-ordination of contract cleaners and to provide/arrange cover when required and ensure all pavements and access ways to and from the shop are clean and clear.
- Notify the business of deficiencies or repair needs. Perform repairs where possible.
- Provide general Porter/Concierge duties such as messenger, processing of mail with the Post Office and allocate deliveries to the designated areas.
- Be responsible for ensuring adequate supplies of consumables and laundry.
