Hettich employee wins coveted national educational award
Sylwia Laskowska of Hettich Jewellers was announced
as the proud recipient of the coveted Bransom JET 1 Project
Assignment Award for July 2011.
The award is presented to those who are taking the
Jewellery Education & Training Courses 1 & 2 (termed JET
for short) and subsequent examination, run by The National
Association of Goldsmiths. This course has become the
benchmark for retail jewellers' staff. Studied over 18 months, it's
designed to provide first-class product knowledge and a wide
ranging understanding of the trade, including design, manufacture,
hallmarking, gemstones, silverware, horology, antiques, legal
matters, repair handling, selling techniques and window
displays.
Sylwia received A* grades for her first four pieces
of JET 1 course assignment work.
Jeffrey Chinn, Managing Director of Hettich Jewellers,
commented 'Sylwia is such an asset
to Hettich Jewellers. We pride ourselves on being able to
offer our customers expert advice and we are thrilled that all
Sylwia's efforts have been recognised in such a prestigious
way. Well done Sylwia!'
